Get answers about your IT assets in ChatGPT
Connect ChatGPT to BlueTally to find available laptops, check employee equipment, and prepare for audits using data from your BlueTally account. Ask in plain English, with read-only access to your inventory.

Bring your BlueTally inventory into ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT to answer equipment and assignment questions using records from your BlueTally account. The BlueTally MCP Server supplies the inventory data, so you can ask follow-up questions without uploading a new export.
What you can ask ChatGPT
Find available equipment
- Which Dell laptops are currently unassigned?
- What's checked out to jane@company.com?
Prepare for audits and reviews
- Which assets haven't been audited in the last 12 months?
- Show me the history of asset BT-1042.
Review licenses and purchases
- How many Adobe license seats are assigned and how many are available?
- Summarize laptop purchases by manufacturer over the past year.
Narrow the results with a follow-up question, such as “Only show laptops in the London office.” Answers depend on the records available in your BlueTally account.
Read-only access to your records
ChatGPT can retrieve and summarize BlueTally data through MCP, but cannot create, edit, delete, or check out assets. Manage assignments and other changes in BlueTally.
Access is scoped to your company. Rotate or delete the API key used for the connection to revoke access.
